The oscilator of high frequency creates electric field at capacitive proximity switches and/or the electric fiekd at capacitive proximity switches, radiating from the sensing face of the switch. Approching metal and also non-metal targets at capacitive switches - alters the amplitude of oscillator, which triggers the electronic switch to commutate (to closed or open state).
